FAQ

SELECTING YOUR CHOCOLATES

Do your chocolate boxes include a fixed selection?
The exact selection you receive will vary by season and stock availability at the time of packing. We hand-pack to order too, so our boxes are rarely identical in content. Product images on our site are shown as a guide only.

Can I request a special chocolates selection?
If you have any particular favourites you’d like us to include with your order, add the details in the order comments section on the checkout page, or drop us an email after placing your order.

Can I add a gift card message and giftwrap?
You can add a gift card message at the checkout. If giftwrap is an option, it will be shown on the product page.

ORDER PROCESSING & DELIVERY

How can I be sure my order has been received?
On receipt of your order we will send you a confirmation email. If you haven’t received it, please check your spam folder first, then call or email us for further information.

Can I specify a future delivery date for my order?
You can specify delivery on any future working day, Monday to Friday (or Saturday, at extra cost).

When will my order be despatched?
Most orders are packed and despatched on the same or next working day. Please allow an extra day or two in the run-up to Christmas.

Can I track my order delivery?
You will receive a Royal Mail tracking email once your order has been despatched.

When will my order arrive?
This depends on the delivery service you select at checkout. Click here for delivery information.

Will someone have to sign for the order when it’s delivered?
This depends on the delivery service you select at checkout. Click here for delivery information.

To which destinations can you deliver?
We despatch to addresses in the UK and Northern Ireland only. If you specify an international delivery address your payment may still be processed; however we cannot fulfil your order and will refund your credit card, less an administration fee of £2.

Do you accept orders from overseas cardholders?
Yes, provided that the delivery address is within the UK and Northern Ireland.

Do you offer a click & collect service?
Since the closure of our retail store we no longer offer a click and collect service. However, if your delivery address is within Birmingham city centre we may be able to deliver to you, free of charge. Please call 0121 314 3472 for details.

Can I send gifts to multiple addresses in one order?
We no longer offer this service as we found our customers very rarely used it on our previous site. Instead, we’ve made ordering and payment quicker and easier, so if you need gifts to be sent to multiple addresses it won’t take long to order each one separately. If you prefer, you can order by phone and send us a mailing list and we’ll handle the rest for you.

How can I be sure my credit card details are secure?
Our payment page encrypts the card information you input so your details are entirely safe and we can’t see them. Our security is guaranteed by the certificate provider, Verisign.

DIETARY CONCERNS

If the nut allergy is mild, you may wish to order from our nut-free range. Our products are not suitable for those with a serious nut allergy as they may contain traces of nuts. Our products are ordered entirely at your own risk.

Are your chocolates suitable for vegans?
Products in our vegan-friendly range are suitable for those on a vegan diet.

Are your chocolates gluten-free?
Products in our gluten-free range are suitable for those on a gluten-free diet.

Are your chocolates suitable for vegetarians?

Are your chocolates kosher?
Although our chocolates are free from animal fats, they do not meet Kosher food specifications.

Are your chocolates halal?
Products in our vegan-friendly range are suitable for those on a halal diet.

Do you offer a diabetic chocolate range?
We don’t produce diabetic chocolate because it typically contains artificial sweeteners and additives. Although none of our chocolates are sugar-free, they contain considerably less sugar than mass-produced, commercial chocolates. Many of our diabetic customers enjoy our dark chocolates in moderation.

Are your chocolates certified as Fairtrade?
Our chocolates are produced with cocoa sourced from family farms with whom our chocolatiers have maintained long-established partnerships for 20+ years. These farms are paid more than the Fairtrade market price for cocoa, to ensure a consistently high quality of beans. As you would expect, the best quality beans produce the finest quality chocolate.

PRODUCT STORAGE

How do I store your chocolates?
We recommend that you store our chocolates at a temperature between 15° and 20°.

Is there an ideal temperature to enjoy your chocolates?
Our chocolates are best enjoyed at a temperature between 18° and 20°. We do not recommend you store them in a fridge; however, during hot spells this may be unavoidable, in which case we suggest you bring them back up to room temperature before eating them.

How far in advance can I buy your chocolates and how long will they last?
Our chocolate selections carry a minimum 8-week shelf life, indicated by a ‘best before’ date underneath each box. Because our chocolates are free from preservatives, for your enjoyment we recommend that they are eaten by the date specified, and ideally within five days of opening.
